Why We Started Pathways Home Care

Pathways Home Care was founded after our founder, Kenisha Armand, recognized a growing need in the community for compassionate, dependable in-home care.

She watched families struggle to find caregivers they could trust while juggling work, raising children, and supporting aging parents. Too many were forced to choose between their careers and their loved ones, with no good options in between.

Meet Our Founder
Kenisha Armand

Kenisha Armand is the Founder and CEO of Pathways Home Care. She brings an MBA and more than ten years of experience owning and operating a successful service-based business.

Throughout her career, Kenisha built her reputation on three things: exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and earning the trust of the families she serves. That same standard shapes how Pathways runs today.

Her passion for helping others, paired with a commitment to dependable, high quality service, is what inspired her to start Pathways Home Care. Under her leadership, the agency stays focused on personal, attentive care that helps clients keep their independence and gives families room to breathe.

What Makes Pathways Different

Home care should be personal, dependable, and shaped around the individual. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

Instead, we take the time to understand each client’s needs, preferences, and daily routine before care ever begins. Here is what that looks like in practice.

Careful Caregiver Matching

We match each caregiver to the client, not just the schedule. Personality, language, and daily rhythm all factor into who we send.

Open Communication With Families

Families stay in the loop. We keep the lines open so you always know how your loved one is doing.

Flexible Care Plans That Evolve

Care needs change over time. Our plans adjust as your loved one’s needs grow, without restarting the whole process.

Relationships Built on Trust

Our goal is long-term relationships grounded in trust, compassion, and reliable support, not transactions.

Licensed, Bonded, and Trusted

Pathways Home Care is fully licensed by the California Home Care Services Bureau under HCO #194701237. Every caregiver we send is screened, bonded, and insured.

Our caregiver vetting includes state-mandated background checks, fingerprinting through California’s Home Care Aide Registry, identity verification, and reference checks. We hire for character first, then train for skill.

For families, that license number is more than a formality. It means an accountable, state-regulated agency stands behind every visit.
